Tell us how you first met? Who, what, when, where, and why?

We met online in the Summer of 2014. We instantly hit it off after meeting in our hometown. We both felt at ease getting to know one another on the many dates that followed.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

We had long distance relationship being states apart. Mike was planning on driving the 7 hours to visit me for my formal. Last minute, he ended up having to work 8 hours that day, but still made the drive arriving just in time. My heart knew that he was the one.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

On a sunny summer day, Mike surprised me with a day planned to take a drive out of the city. I was really excited to spend the day together, and enjoy the beautiful weather. As we drove close to our hometown, I became curious to what the day had in store. He took me to all our first date spots. I think Mike was nervous I would catch on but for me it was so romantic and fun to reminisce on the first days getting to know each other. After one of the best days together we went to his childhood home where the entire yard was covered with lights. I was speechless when he got down on one knee. We both were elated to start the next chapter of our life together.

We both appreciate each other’s effort to put our relationship first.

Besides getting married – what’s the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

We are looking forward to the next chapter in our lives together and celebrating with all of our loved ones.

What’s your favorite trend for weddings right now? 8) What inspired your décor or theme?

Some of my favorite wedding trends right now are outdoor tablescapes, with natural greenery, and simple florals. Getting married by the water in the spring has inspired our blue and white color palette.

Out of all the photographers to choose from, how did you know Nate was the one?

We were really impressed by Nate’s beautiful work and photography styling. From our first meeting, Nate was easy going, charismatic, and professional. Once we met him, it assured us that we couldn’t go with anyone else!
