Emilee & Jason’s Omni Mount Washington Hotel Wedding

Emilee and Jason’s Omni Mount Washington Hotel wedding was the definition of timeless elegance. Set in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, beneath the dramatic peaks of the White Mountains, their celebration was filled with refined details, emotional moments, and an incredible energy from beginning to end.

Having photographed their story from the proposal to their engagement session, documenting their wedding day felt especially meaningful. Every detail of the celebration reflected who they are as a couple while making the most of one of New Hampshire’s most iconic wedding venues.

Getting Ready at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel

The day began inside the Omni Mount Washington Hotel as Emilee and Jason prepared for the celebration surrounded by their closest friends and family. Julie from Something Bleu Weddings helped bring every detail together, creating a wedding that felt polished, personal, and intentional.

From watercolor invitations with custom stamps to magazines created from their engagement photographs, the details gave the morning a distinctly personal feel. As Emilee got ready, sunlight poured through the windows and created beautiful light for her bridal portraits, highlighting the intricate details of her gown and veil.

One of the most emotional moments of the morning came when Emilee shared a first look with her father. It was quiet, heartfelt, and a perfect reminder that some of the most meaningful wedding photographs come from moments that need very little direction.

A White Mountains Wedding Ceremony

Emilee and Jason chose to keep things traditional and waited until the ceremony to see each other for the first time. With Mount Washington and the surrounding White Mountains stretching across the horizon, the setting could hardly have been more dramatic.

Beneath a floral arch created by Blush and Bloom Design, they exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends. The clear New Hampshire afternoon gave us incredible mountain views while the ceremony itself remained intimate, emotional, and completely focused on the two of them.

Wedding Portraits at the Mount Washington Hotel

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the architecture and landscape surrounding the Omni Mount Washington Hotel for portraits. The hotel’s historic veranda gave us a refined backdrop for classic, editorial-inspired photographs before we headed onto the lawn as the light began to soften.

One of my favorite things about photographing weddings at the Omni Mount Washington is the variety within a single property. The grand architecture, sweeping lawns, historic interiors, and White Mountain scenery allow us to create a wedding gallery that feels cohesive while still giving every part of the day its own visual character.

As sunset approached, we created portraits with the mountains behind Emilee and Jason, balancing a more editorial approach with the genuine interactions between them. Those photographs became some of my favorites from the entire celebration.

An Elegant Omni Mount Washington Wedding Reception

The reception carried the same refined atmosphere into the evening. Florals, elegant centerpieces, and warm lighting transformed the room while still allowing the historic character of the Mount Washington Hotel to shine through.

Once dinner ended, the energy changed quickly. The Wilson Stevens Band filled the dance floor, drinks were flowing, and the formal elegance of the day gave way to an incredible party. Those transitions are always some of my favorite parts of a wedding to photograph—the polished portraits matter, but so do the completely unscripted moments once everyone forgets the camera is there.

Photographing Emilee & Jason’s Story

This wedding felt especially personal because it wasn’t the beginning of my time photographing Emilee and Jason. I had already documented their proposal and engagement, and after photographing their wedding at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel, we’re continuing that story through family portraits.

That continuity is one of the parts of wedding photography I value most. The photographs become more than a record of a single day—they become chapters in a much larger story that couples can return to throughout their lives.

Planning an Omni Mount Washington Hotel Wedding?

For couples planning a wedding in Bretton Woods or elsewhere in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, the Omni Mount Washington Hotel offers an incredible combination of historic architecture, elegant interiors, and some of the most recognizable mountain views in New England.

If you’re planning your own Omni Mount Washington Hotel wedding and are looking for photography that blends candid moments, timeless portraits, and an editorial approach, I’d love to hear what you’re envisioning for your celebration.
